How to Shame a War Criminal

Tony Blair has had to cancel his London book signing for fear of being pelted with even more eggs and flip flops. As others have noted, the UK establishment has been more up front in dealing with its illegal foray into neo-colonialism, with former Prime Minister Gordon Brown calling for an inquiry, that has also been known as the Chilcot Commission. The British government responds to wide-spread anti-war sentiment by actually investigating its stated reasons for going to war.

I think it’s ample evidence that if the Democratic party really had been an opposition party representing the anti-war sentiment that it rode into power, our discourse, and the energies of the anti-war movement, would look quite different.
